Undergraduate Advising

The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics offers students the opportunity to learn and integrate multiple engineering disciplines.

Before your first term starts at Stanford, a freshman advisor is assigned to you based on the academic interests stated in your application. This advisor helps you plan your coursework in your first years. Once you declare an engineering major, your department assigns a new advisor (with your input) to help you work toward your major requirements. However, your freshman advisor will remain available for guidance and assistance throughout your undergraduate career.

In addition to Undergraduate Advising and Research, which is available to you throughout your undergraduate career, you are welcome to speak with the Aero/Astro Student Services Office or to contact Professor Marco Pavone, the Aero/Astro undergraduate program director.
