I’m a climate scientist in Stanford’s Department of Earth System Science working in Noah Diffenbaugh’s Climate & Earth System Dynamics Group. I study Earth’s climate system across multiple temporal scales in both the geologic past and the anthropogenic future. My interests are diverse, spanning the evolution of Earth’s climate system through geologic time, as well as the near-term climatic, societal, and public health impacts of anthropogenic climate change. To address this diversity of topics my research utilizes environmental observations, numerical models, and statistical analyses to explore the interactions of Earth’s atmosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere.
