Brown Institute for Media Innovation Magic Grant (Graduate)

A Magic Grant supports a small team of graduate students or postgraduates who are expected to demonstrate the relevance and viability of their ideas by implementing a prototype or creating an innovative media product. Successful projects might continue as business ventures outside the universities.


Department of Energy Scholars Program (Undergraduate/Graduate)

The Department of Energy (DOE) Scholars program introduces undergraduates or recent graduates to the mission of the DOE.


The George and Charlotte Shultz Fellowship for Modern Israel Studies (Undergraduate)

The George and Charlotte Shultz Fellowship in Modern Israel Studies supports student research on issues relevant to modern Israel and the betterment of Israeli-Arab relations.  This year, in conjunction with the Precourt Institute for Energy, the fellowship will also support a student interested in pursuing energy–related research in Israel.


Lorry I. Lokey Stanford University Fellowship (Graduate)

The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) through the Lorry I. Lokey/Stanford University Fellowship will support one Stanford graduate or recent graduate for EDF programs in oceans; land, water & wildlife; climate - domestic and International; or environmental health.


PG&E Summer Internships (Undergraduate/Master's)

The PG&E summer internships provide current bachelor's and master's degree students with an overview of the public utility experience. 


Schneider Fellows, formerly MAP Sustainable Energy Fellowships (Undergraduate/Graduate)

The Schneider Fellows program provides Stanford students with opportunities to work at leading U.S. non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the sustainable energy field. The Schneider Fellows spend a quarter tackling the world’s economic, environmental, social, and technical challenges associated with past, present, and future approaches of harnessing energy resources to deliver energy services.


Siebel Scholars Program (Graduate)

The Siebel Scholars program was established by the Thomas and Stacey Siebel Foundation in 2000 to recognize the most talented students at 29 graduate schools of business, computer science, bioengineering, and energy science in the United States, China, France, Italy, and Japan.


Stanford Energy Internships in California/Colorado (SEIC) (Undergraduate/Graduate)

The Stanford Energy Internships in California/Colorado (SEIC) is an energy-related, paid public service internship for Stanford students. For the summer of 2017, SEIC has secured internship opportunities within the California ISO (CAISO), California Air Resources Board (CARB), California Department of Water Resources (DWR), California Energy Commission (CEC), and the Western Interstate Energy Board (WIEB).


Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowship Program (SIGF) (Graduate)

The Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowship Program  is an annual university-wide fellowship that is available to Stanford doctoral students engaged in interdisciplinary research.


Stanford Undergraduate Program on Energy Research (SUPER) (Undergraduate)

The Precourt Institute for Energy Summer Undergraduate Program on Energy Research aims to provide undergraduates with opportunities for work on faculty mentored and individualized energy research.  Undergraduates will delve deeply into one aspect of energy research while also gaining exposure to energy research across Stanford University.


Sustainable Stanford Internship Program (Undergraduate/Graduate)

The Sustainable Stanford Internship Program provides a paid opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience implementing programs that influence on-campus sustainability. Each intern will commit to a summer or academic year-long program working to manage a campus sustainability project and bring about tangible results.


TomKat Center energyStartup Internships (Undergraduate/Graduate)

The TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy has two internship programs. The objectives of the summer internships are for students to gain work experience, develop applied engineering knowledge, learn entrepreneurship in a start-up environment, and build upon their academic studies.


TomKat/StartX Prize in Energy Innovation (Undergraduate)

The TomKat/StartX Prize in Energy Innovation is a competition open to entrepreneurially minded Stanford undergraduates from all majors who are passionate about sustainability and making a difference.  The winning team (up to 4 currently registered Stanford undergraduates) can spend 8 weeks next summer as TomKat Innovators in Residence at StartX refining and advancing your concept.


TomKat Energy Impact Summer Fellowships (Undergraduate)

The TomKat Energy Impact Summer Fellows will spend 8 weeks next summer working as a team with fellow undergraduate students on a multifaceted sustainable energy project with significant social impact.
