Graduation

Students start the graduation process by completing the online application to graduate. Students are required to have an active status in order to apply to graduate, and must either be enrolled in courses for the quarter or in an approved special registration status. Degree candidates should be aware of application deadlines and University graduation requirements found on the pages below, and should also contact the student's department regarding degree specific requirements.

Degrees are awarded four times in the academic year, with University graduates recognized at Spring Commencement each year. Under some circumstances, students who have not met graduation requirements are allowed, by petition, to participate in Commencement exercises.
