Sponsored Research Agreements (SRAs) provide the terms and conditions for research at Stanford that is funded by outside parties. ICO negotiates the SRAs when companies fund projects at Stanford and seek licensing rights to resulting intellectual property or reports from the research. Industry-funded clinical trial agreements are handled by the Clinical Trial Research Management Group (CT-RMG); federally funded clinical trial and other non-industry agreements are handled by the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR).
Gifts from industry are handled by the Office of Development.
