In most cases, you will need at least two computers (an untrusted computer and a PAW) to get your work done. Because of this concern, we generally specify ultra-portable laptops as PAWs. If you use a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment for your untrusted system, you can use just one computer to access the VDI from the PAW. Your department may want to provision you with one PAW to use at home and another PAW to use at work if your duties require this.
Do I have to carry multiple computers if I use a Privileged Access Workstation (PAW)?
