The VPTL's iPads for Learning Program explores the potential for iPads to impact teaching and learning. Each quarter, the program supports a select number of faculty and instructors with free iPads and software to support innovative means of teaching and learning with technology. Evaluation & Feedback Services

Feedback is an important tool for all instructors as they continually improve the effectiveness of their teaching. The VPTL provides serveral services to instructors to gather meaningful feedback on courses. Both during the term and afterwards, the VPTL will help you gather, interpret, and respond to various forms of feedback and evaluation.

Graduate Scholars in Residence Program

El Centro Chicano y Latino's Graduate Scholars in Residence Program promotes a vibrant intellectual atmosphere and supports interdisciplinary exchange among Chicano/Latino students at Stanford. The program offers four doctoral students per year a stipend and an office space. In return, Graduate Scholars are expected to spend time in their offices, give one research presentation per year, and maintain contact with undergraduate students.

Hume Graduate Workshops

Hume offers workshops for graduate students that provide general writing and speaking strategies, such as maximizing writing productivity and speaking clearly and confidently. The center also offers support for specific tasks through workshops specifically designed for writing journal articles, literature reviews, research statements, or giving multimedia presentations. Come prepared to do short exercises. Some workshops ask that you bring a writing project you're currently working on.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Lecture on a Meaningful Life

The Harry and Emilia Rathbun Fund for Exploring What Leads to a Meaningful Life at Stanford was established in 2006. Intended to help students experience personal reflection, thoughtful discussion, and a deeper exploration of life's purpose, the fund has brought several notable public figures to campus, including Sandra Day O'Connor, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and others. In February 2017, the Rathbun Fund brought Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to speak at Memorial Church. Stanford CareerConnect

Stanford CareerConnect is the Stanford Alumni Association's portal for all its online career resources. CareerConnect's services are available to all undergraduate, graduate and professional school alumni. It features an online directory of more than 200,000 alumni and an alumni-only jobs and internships board. CareerConnect has tools for different career stages, including discounts on professional development conferences and expos, alumni clubs, and coaching. The Stanford Alumni linkedin group (open to alumni only) is also a way to discover opportunities. A great resource to build and expand your professional network, before and after you graduate.
