Postdoc Opportunity

A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Olivia Martinez in the Program in Immunology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. The laboratory studies immune and viral factors in the development, survival, and growth of Epstein Barr virus (EBV) B cell lymphomas. The applicant will join a research team examining the effect of EBV on host cell microRNA expression and function, the role of EBV proteins in immune evasion and lymphomagenesis, and identification of novel targets for treatment of EBV B cell lymphomas. The candidate should be highly motived and have a Ph.D. with strong background and publication record in Immunology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology. Relevant experience working with herpes viruses, B lymphocytes, microRNA, or immune assays are highly desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
