    Mesonet Ticker: 2010: A cautionary tale Our last slowest start to the tornado season was in 2010 with only 3 tornadoes through May 9 that year. We ended up with 103 , 3 fatalities, and 126 injured. All it takes is one day, one tornado!

    A change in our weather pattern will bring increased chances for thunderstorms and maybe some severe weather next week. Can't really pin it down any more than that at this point. It's that time of year, so just check back and be ready in case it happens.
