What I Learned is a travel show about colorful people and curious situations. Hosted by Jason Tongen (aka JT), the show consists of unique observations, unconventional perspective, and often explores a destination’s counter-culture. We see that no matter where our travels take us, there is always something to be learned.
Born and raised in Alaska, Jason Tongen (aka JT) first ventured overseas as a foreign exchange student to Australia for a year. After graduating from Southern Oregon University with a degree in video production, he traveled around the world for a full year and landed in Holland, where he resided for two years. Upon return to the US he made his way to San Francisco where he created two small travel franchises for Current TV before becoming a freelance producer. He's known for his ability to bond with strangers and have fun in any situation.
