    Our heroes are up, out, & on the road early — enroute to Kentucky Dam State Park. Once there, these 4 teams of 2 will drive emergency response vehicles into devastated communities, bringing food, supplies & hope to those impacted by the .

    Heavy mountain snow and lowland rain will overspread California and the Great Basin today and Tuesday. Heavy snow is likely across much of the terrain, accumulating to 6 feet or more in parts of the Sierra Nevada. Mountain travel may become impossible.

    Tornadoes can be dangerous at night when it's harder to see. Set up alerts on your phone or download the Red Cross Emergency app, which will notify you if there's a tornado in your area.

    Many people are without power due to the recent tornadoes. Follow these safety tips: 💡Dim the brightness on your phone or turn on battery saver settings. 🔌Unplug appliances to avoid damage or power surges as utilities are fixed. 🚫Never taste food to see if it’s safe to eat.

    Here is a little background on how we conduct damage surveys. This tornado event has been particularly difficult to survey due to communication outages. Additionally, we do not want to interfere with active search and rescue operations. Please bear with us over the next few days.
