Enterprise Technology implements and maintains information systems that support university operations. These systems include enterprise business applications (Oracle, PeopleSoft, Research Administration, etc.) and Stanford's email and calendar service, as well as underlying authentication, directory, registry, and data integration services.
In addition to supporting Stanford's major enterprise systems, we partner with clients at every level of the organization (individual schools, business units, cross functional groups) to identify and implement efficient, cost-effective IT solutions.
Financial Systems
Financial Systems is the information technology support group which maintains and enhances Stanford’s on-prem Oracle Financials implementation and much more, providing support to both central offices and distributed users. Oracle Financials includes Procure-to-Pay, Core Financials, Labor Distribution, Fixed Assets and Sunflower, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Enterprise Asset Management (enabling billing to SOM, among other organizations) and the Commitment Management System. The group also supports Service Now, Oracle Financials, and Procurement Cloud implementations for Global Business Services, Stanford Student Enterprise (GrantsEd) and the Graduate School of Business.
Student and HR Systems
Student and HR Systems is the information technology application support group behind Stanford's student and HR-related applications.
Middleware and Integration Services (MaIS)
MaIS is the information technology support group behind Stanford's middleware and integration services used by the campus community and University business systems to manage accounts (SUNet ID), sponsorship, people, organizations, courses, workgroups, authority, and devices.
Research Administration
Research Administration promotes, implements, and operates systems that facilitate efficient management of research activities at Stanford.
Data Management and Reporting
Data Management and Reporting is the information technology application support group behind Stanford's reporting applications (ReportMart1, ReportMart2, OBIEE) and enterprise data warehouse.
Infrastructure Support Operations
Infrastructure Support Operations implements and maintains the server technology behind Stanford's administrative applications.
Technical Services
Technical Services is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of scalable enterprise application platforms.
Cross Platform Systems
Cross Platform Systems is responsible for building end-to-end advancement and alumni solutions that allow Stanford to connect with constituents in new ways using social, mobile, and cloud technologies. The team strives for best-in-class systems to optimize alumni lifetime value and to support a portfolio of users to improve their business through data and technology. The team continues to maintain a well-built suite of custom applications that have served the community for the past 20 years.
Cross Platform Systems is also responsible for the engineering and maintenance of our card and access control platforms. This is in support of the Card Services team and our entire Stanford community.
Compliance Services
Compliance Services is the information technology support group that provides consulting and technical services for PCI DSS compliance, performs IT audit and risk assurance processes and facilitates infrastructure portfolio services to meet compliance and audit requirements.
Cloud Technology Strategy
The Cloud Technology Strategy team acts as a focal point for the development of an effective cloud strategy that emphasizes and promotes adoption of cloud-based IT services. This team plays a central role in influencing both the university’s enterprise IT architecture, as well as governance for cloud services. The team engages campus IT groups to create and apply the campus cloud strategy in order to guide the development and implementation of cloud solutions that support student computing, research computing, and administration.
