System administrators and web developers will be asked to attend at least one training class annually, beginning with Information Security I, followed by other courses. Completion of at least one training class each calendar year will satisfy the annual training expectation of the Stanford Minimum Security Standards while supporting the professional development of these key staff. Participants may attend more than one course per year if so inclined and will have the option of progressing to varied subject matter specific training. Our hope is that participants will gain and maintain an information security mindset, employing cybersecurity best practices in their work and fully utilizing the many security resources provided by Stanford.

Security education requirements can also be fulfilled through other training avenues not offered through the Information Security Office. If you have taken another course that is security relevant, please inform the Information Security Office and we will evaluate and apply credit as appropriate.

*To receive SISA credit for these courses you must email your certificate of completion to annie.stevens @ stanford.edu.
