Why I'm majoring (or minoring) in Urban Studies: I love the major's interdisciplinary approach to studying urban life, including the multiple methodologies it's exposed me to (anthropological, ecological, architectural, historical, sociological, and pedagogical). Urban Studies has facilitated a revolution in how I think about cities and their denizens.

Career goal / Future plans: I'm an aspiring elementary/middle school educator, so my next step is to go to graduate school for a Master's and teaching credential.

Extracurriculars: I'm fairly involved in student theater - backstage, onstage, and as Theater and Performance Editor for the Stanford Arts Review. Something else you should know about me: I love skateboarding and embroidering, though I've not yet been able to do them simultaneously.
