Dan leads the private equity, private credit, and venture capital investing at Hanwha Asset Management USA, the second largest asset management firm based in South Korea. He spent the past two years helping build out the U.S. operations, creating a large fund-of-funds platform with an active co-investment program. As part of a global team, with offices in New York, Seoul, and Singapore, Dan had an active role in origination, execution, structuring, and relationship management in numerous key initiatives on the platform. Previously, Dan spent two years at CVC Credit Partners, a global asset management firm, leading investments in distressed U.S. companies. Dan started his career at Citi Global Markets in distressed credit trading. Having grown up in South Korea, the issue of the divided Korean peninsula is one that Dan personally feels passionate about. In this regard, Dan helped launch the George W. Bush Presidential Scholarship for North Korean refugees living in the United States.
