Overview
Stanford R&DE’s Finance & Administration (F&A) division consists of a dedicated team, involved in numerous projects, across all R&DE departments, in support of the motto that is central to R&DE and always on our minds—students (customers) first!
Functions
- Serves as the gatekeeper for R&DE’s operating budget
- Leads R&DE annual capital budgeting process
- Manages annual room and board rate setting process
- Provides long-range and strategic planning
- Acts as liaison to other University departments (Controllers Office, UBO, etc.)
- Ensures consistent application of business practices throughout R&DE
- Provides accounting, financial and management support to R&DE divisions
- Leads and communicates University financial systems implementation for R&DE
- Coordinates all aspects of vendor relationships including assessing potential vendors, negotiating contracts, purchasing goods and services and managing ongoing vendor relationships
- Develops and implements policies and procedures
- Oversees the maintenance, construction and renovation of 5 million sq. ft. of residential and dining physical plant across the campus
