Global Affiliates Program

Partnering with Asian organizations to develop internationally experienced global leaders

Who We Are

The Global Affiliates Program at the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) builds strong alliances with Asian institutions. Affiliate members get involved in the many aspects of research and education at APARC and Stanford as we host their nominated visiting fellows over the course of an academic year. They enrich and inform intellectual exchange in our research community while benefiting from opportunities to hone the skills needed to lead in a globalized world.

Why Shorenstein APARC’s Global Affiliates Program

Drawing on Stanford’s strengths and on APARC’s leadership in contemporary Asia-focused, policy-relevant, interdisciplinary research, we are uniquely positioned to help our Asia-based affiliates advance entrepreneurial thinking and a global perspective.

The program has given me the opportunity to engage with Stanford experts and develop a broader perspective. With this I hope to help stimulate change and contribute to maintaining the stability of the Japanese financial system.
