We raise the quality and visibility of scholarship on contemporary Southeast Asia by providing opportunities for academics and other professional analysts to refine and advance their research and writing on significant policy-relevant conditions, challenges, and prospects in specific Southeast Asian countries, region-wide, or beyond.
Our Fellowship Offerings
Lee Kong Chian Fellowship
Awarded each year jointly with the National University of Singapore to one or two candidates researching contemporary Southeast Asia.
Visiting Scholar Residency
We host academics and professionals with expertise on contemporary Southeast Asian affairs who join us for periods of collaborative research at Stanford.
