Why Stanford ChemE?

Stanford Chemical Engineering works on technologies to develop chemical transformations and processes, creating useful products and materials that improve society. We are tackling the major challenges of the 21st century.

Undergraduate Programs

The mission of the undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering is to develop students’ understanding of the core scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles that form the foundation underlying these processes.

Graduate Programs

The Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering is awarded after the completion of a minimum of 135 units of graduate work, satisfactory completion of any additional university and departmental requirements.
