As of September 1, we begin the process of return to an on-campus school year. Our buildings will open to faculty, staff and students without an ID card during office hours. Please stay abreast of the latest updates below, which are changing frequently. Added precautions due to COVID variants include weekly testing regardless of vaccination status starting September 20. Twice weekly if unvaccinated. If your role does not require you to come to campus and your manager approves, you may continue to work from home until Oct. 1.

• All students living on campus must be vaccinated or apply for an exception. As of September 20, all students must participate in weekly surveillance testing regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated students must test twice weekly. Details.
• As of September 20, all faculty, staff and postdocs must conduct weekly surveillance testing regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated faculty, staff and postdocs  must test twice weekly. Details on where to find kits and more.
• Masks should be worn in shared offices, indoor spaces, or in carts or vehicles. 
• Per Santa Clara County and Cal/OSHA, employers must record employee vaccination status. Staff, faculty, and postdocs must record their status, including vaccination date and type, and upload an image of their vaccination card in HealthCheck.  Once you upload the card, you no longer need to fill out the daily HealthCheck.
