The Meyer Lab

The Meyer Lab studies how T-cells and invariant NKT facilitate immune tolerance and graft-versus-leukemia effects in the setting of hematopoietic cell transplantation. Projects involve murine models and human clinical trials. We study murine models of graft-versus-host disease, graft-versus-leukemia and tolerance to pancreatic beta islet. We also study T cell immune reconstitution following transplantation and in graft-versus host disease with emphasis on clinical trial biomonitoring. We specifically focus on:

  • The development and application of new tools such as TCR receptor sequencing and T cell Effector Linkage Sequencing to understand alloreactivity and immune tolerance in humans.
  • The development of cellular therapy approaches using adoptive transfer of expanded iNKT and T cell populations.
  • Investigation of the interaction of iNKT and T cell populations in the induction of immune tolerance in the setting of apoptosis and TIM receptor family signaling.

Meyer Lab is located at the Stanford Center for Clinical Sciences Research (CCSR)
