Welcome to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. We opened our new Main hospital building in December 2017, making it one of the most technically advanced and sustainable designed children's hospitals in the nation.

We are located at 725 Welch Road in Palo Alto, California.

If you are admitting or visiting a child in the hospital, please check into the Main building lobby.

Children having a radiology procedure (x-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy) should check in at the Main building lobby and go directly to Radiology located on the first floor of the West building, Suite 184.

If you are an expecting mom checking into the Johnson Center for Pregnancy & Newborn or visiting a new mom and baby, please check into the West building.

Caregiver entrance guidelines

To help keep our community safe and follow the California State Public Health guidelines, all caregivers are now required to bring either proof of full COVID vaccination or proof of a recent negative COVID test to all future inpatient and surgery visits.

If you are fully vaccinated, please bring one of the following with you each time you come to the hospital:

Physical copy of your vaccine card
Photo of your vaccine card
Digital copy of your vaccine record. If you are a California resident, you can visit California’s Digital COVID Vaccine Record portal to access a digital copy of your record.
Documentation of your vaccination from your healthcare provider

If you are not fully vaccinated, please bring proof of a negative COVID test from within the last 72 hours. We accept the following types of COVID tests:

Antigen tests: We recommend getting an antigen test before visiting the hospital because you can get your results quickly.
PCR tests: PCR tests are the most accurate type of COVID test, but they can take several days to get your results.
