More than 700 people from all over the world participated in the "Treehacks" hackathon, held at Stanford from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19. Hackers worked for 36-hours coding, creating apps and building hardware to solve real world problems. This year's sponsors included Best Friends Animal Society, Microsoft, IBM, Disney and Illumina.
