QSR Programming

GLAM

Formerly known as Trans Action Week, Gender Liberation and Awareness Month (GLAM) is a month-long series of events. GLAM was originally organized by both QSR and SQRTL but is now run as a QSR program. We educate allies on campus about gender diversity, foster community spaces for trans individuals, and participate in activist work outside of campus. Events are happening throughout October with a final event on 11/20 marking Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Queerness, Spirituality, and Religion

Queer Student Resources (QSR) and the Office of Religious Life (ORL) are proud to announce a new initiative titled Queerness, Spirituality, and Religion.

Exploring the ways in which our queer identity and spiritual practices intersect can be extremely difficult and often dangerous. Across all faith traditions, the challenge of reconciling LGBTQIA+ experience and identity is serious. But can we bring together queerness, spirituality, and religion to create something larger than the sum of its parts? Can we explore what it means to embrace all parts of yourself on our spiritual and/or religious paths? Can we create a multi-faith community of queer joy, kinship, and celebration?

If you are interested in finding answers to these questions in a collective effort, then this initiative is for you. This unprecedented collaboration is the first-time at Stanford that an interfaith space is being constructed for LGBTQIA+ people to explore, discuss, and synthesize their identity and spiritual/religious paths together. As it is being developed from the ground-up, now is your opportunity to take part in designing this utterly unique program which aims to bring queer refuge and spiritual solace for many Stanford community members.
