Women’s tennis downs UCLA, USC
No. 46 Stanford women’s tennis (6-3, 2-0 Pac-12) started out conference play this weekend with two huge victories against No. 13 UCLA (8-3) on Friday and No. 47 USC (7-3) the next morning at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
No. 1 men’s swimming and diving captures second in Pac-12 Championships
Less than two weeks after Stanford men’s swimming and diving upset then-No.1 Cal in a nail-biting victory, the Golden Bears returned the favor during this past weekend’s Pac-12 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. There, No. 1 Stanford finished in second place at the conference tournament to their Bay Area rivals.
No. 4 men’s swimming and diving upsets No. 1 Cal on Senior Day
At the end of the final race, the 200 free relay, in Avery Aquatic Center, few in the crowd knew what just happened. The Cardinal entered the event with a seven-point lead and an opportunity to upset the No.1 ranked team in the nation, but the Bears won the event, and two Cardinal swimmers came in second and third. After a few moments of hushed anxiety, the result was finally known. No. 4 Stanford men's swimming and diving (6-0, 4-0 Pac-12) had upset No. 1 Cal (5-1, 4-1) 151-149 on Senior Day.

Shaw talks Beavers, defensive improvements at Monday presser
