Stanford Aeronautics & Astronautics Diploma Ceremony
The Stanford Aeronautics & Astronautics Department is thrilled to welcome the classes of ’20, ’21 & ’22 to attend our in-person Diploma Ceremony. We’re excited to finally get to celebrate with you as you walk the stage in front of family and friends.
The departmental ceremony will be on Sunday, June 12, in the Cemex Auditorium at 12:30pm (line up at 12pm). Our reception will be held at the GSB Bowl. Tickets are not required for either ceremony. This will be our largest ceremony ever, we’re celebrating graduates from ’20, ’21 and ’22. Because this is an unprecedented year, we are asking that all students planning to attend our departmental ceremony fill out our RSVP Form by May 1st.
Who should fill out this form:
-You are an Aero/Astro graduate (BS, MS or PhD) from any quarter in academic year 2019-20, 2020-21, or 2021-22.
-You will graduate with a Aero/Astro degree (BS, MS, PhD) in Summer 2021-2022, or possibly fall 2022-23. (walkthroughs)
-You are a coterm senior and you want to walk with your class.
-Your guests do not need to fill out this form.
Aero/Astro Ceremony Details
When: Sunday, June 12, from 12:30-2:30pm followed by a reception at the GSB Bowl.
Where: Cemex Auditorium
Who: Graduates and walkthroughs from ’20, ’21, and ’22. We call you each to the stage by name and hand you a diploma cover. (Your actual diploma will be mailed to you by the Registrar’s Office.)
Guests: We do not anticipate needing to limit guests, but we may need to adjust depending on the RSVP.
Cap and Gown
Dress Code: Cap and Gown required. Regalia can be ordered from the Stanford Bookstore. Order your regalia now!
· Monday, March 7 – Cap & Gown ordering website goes “Live”
· Wednesday, April 13 – In-store Grad Fair & custom regalia/class ring ordering deadline (to have in time for commencement)
· Monday, April 25 – Student/Faculty online cap & gown pre-order deadline
· Monday, May 16 – Last day for students to order for home delivery ($12.95 shipping)
· Friday, May 27 – Last day for students to order for home delivery with RUSH delivery ($19.95 shipping)
· Tuesday, May 31 – Pre-order cap & gown distribution begins (Stanford Bookstore lower level)
· Thursday, June 2 – Open stock distribution begins (Stanford Bookstore lower level)
Note: To guard against continuing delays in the supply chain, we recommend you place your order as early as possible.

Accessibility
Please let us know right away if you will need reasonable accommodations for the Commencement Activities. Cemex Auditorium is accessible for those in wheelchairs. Apply to Graduate
The Spring Quarter late application to file for graduation is due on Friday, May 27, by 5pm ($50 fee). Please log into Axess and under the Academics tab, select Apply to Graduate.

Main Ceremony Schedule
Commencement Weekend is June 9-12, 2022. This email mostly pertains to the Aero/Astro Commencement Ceremony that will take place on Sunday, June 12.
