Nereyda Salinas

Nereyda founded the EdCareers team in 2012. She is an innovative, education entrepreneur who enjoys building organizations and units that help individuals realize their full potential, especially those committed to high-quality, accessible learning. As Executive Director of EdCareers, Nereyda leads the team's strategic thinking in the areas of career education and professional development. She works collaboratively with colleagues on and off campus to help GSE students, alumni and affiliated educators have thriving and impactful education careers. Prior to EdCareers, Nereyda directed the POLS and MA/MBA programs, worked in MBA admissions, and participated in K-12 social enterprises.  She received her MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School and her BA from Stanford with Honors in Education. Nereyda enjoys building bridges across organizations, industries and sectors and traces this love back to when she was a four-year old translator on cross country U.S. trips for her Spanish-speaking grandparents.

Heidi joined the EdCareers team in January 2018. She manages the Stanford EdLEADers professional certificate program, and works collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders within the GSE and GSB  to design, develop and deliver this 100% virtual program for nationwide systems leaders. She brings a rich and diverse set of experiences to her work, having built a career working in education institutions, start-ups and non-profits to conceptualize and execute on the  design and creation of blended, online, or face to face programs and experiences for learners of all ages. Heidi developed her learner centered approaches, design thinking mindsets, and cross functional and collaborative teamwork skills during her time at Stanford GSE’s Learning, Design and Technology program where she earned her MA. Her interests in education grew out of serving as a team leader for City Year Boston after completing her BA in chemistry from Wellesley College.

Alanna joined the EdCareers team in October 2018. She provides administrative support for EdCareers programs and events and coordinates outreach to employers and students. Alanna graduated from Stanford in 2017 with a B.A. in Classics and a minor in Art History. After participating in internships at the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts as an undergraduate, Alanna knew that she wanted to pursue a career in Education. She worked briefly as a High School tutor before joining the GSE. Alanna has always loved learning and attributes this to elementary school field trips to her local museum.
