Criteria for Reimbursements

  • Eligible Housestaff paid by SHC are reimbursed for expenses listed below throughout the year providing completed reimbursement request form and required documents are sent to GME office within 1-2 months of occurring the expense.
  • It is the Housestaff’s responsibility to renew their license in a timely manner. GME does not reimburse for housestaff that have had their license lapsed.
  • Initial DEA Certificates applied for on or after April of the Housestaff's graduation year will NOT be reimbursed by GME.
  • Any reimbursement questions, please contact Mitra Haddad.

How to Confirm Reimbursement is Deposited into Your Account

  • Reimbursements are made by payroll and added to Housestaff’s paycheck.
  • Housestaff can confirm receipt of a payment by checking their paystub on Lawson eConnect.

California Medical License Renewal Amount $820.00 if license expires while under contract with Stanford Health Care
Required documents

Both are required:

  1. Completed reimbursement form, AND
  2. Copy of CML card OR copy of electronic medical license profile from MBC website
Exceptions Osteopathic Physician & Surgeon CML-Must provide itemized receipt as their rates differ from Physician’s & Surgeon’s
           
DEA Certificate
(Initial or Renewal)
Amount $731.00 if certificate expires while under contract with Stanford Health Care
Required documents

Both are required:

  1. Completed reimbursement form, AND
  2. Copy of DEA certificate or copy of electronic DEA profile from DEA website
Restrictions
  • Initial DEA Certificates applied for on or after April of the Housestaff's graduation year will NOT be reimbursed by GME.
  • All eligible housestaff must (within two (2) months of eligibility for licensure) apply for a DEA number.
           
USMLE Part III
(Stanford Interns only)
Amount $850.00 - - -
Required documents

Both are required:

  1. Completed reimbursement form, AND
  2. Copy of receipt
