The Center for Social Innovation offers financial support to help you get started on your impact journey.

MBA Summer Fellowships

CSI provides financial support for summer internships with high-impact organizations, as well as an immersion program to explore a social or environmental venture, including:

Social Management Immersion Fund

MBA students who secure summer internships with nonprofits, government agencies, or social-purpose businesses can apply for a SMIF fellowship to receive financial support.

Impact Design Immersion Fellowship

MBA students who want to gain a deeper understanding of a problem and the people most affected by it can apply to IDIF for summer funding to spend time interviewing stakeholders, developing relationships with experts and mentors, and getting feedback on prototypes of possible solutions.

Post Graduation Fellowships and Prizes

Graduating MBA and MSx students who plan to pursue a career focused on social or environmental impact after graduation may apply for Stanford GSB’s Impact Careers Fellowships and Prizes:

Stanford Impact Leader Prizes

SIL prize winners receive $20,000 in support of their leadership and commitment to a role in the social innovation field. Options include a one-year fellowship in venture philanthropy at the DRK Foundation or a one-year minimum position at a high-impact organization of their choice.

Stanford Impact Founder Fellowships and Prizes

SIF fellows receive $110K of financial support as well as advising to found a new social or environmental impact venture. SIF Prize winners receive $20K in acknowledgment of their venture and leadership potential.

Other Opportunities for Financial Aid

Stanford GSB offers financial assistance for students in the MBA Program and MSx Program — including loan forgiveness for students who take a qualifying high-impact job.
