He spoke at a Barack Obama veterans rally in front of the Capitol in July, co-hosted several events with then- congressional candidate Jared Polis and attacked Republican Senate candidate Bob Schaffer in a TV ad paid for by the national group Votevets.org.
And the mostly Democratic candidates he supported — looking for credibility on veterans issues and the war — lapped it up appreciatively.
Now, politicians are dealing with news that the man they believed to be a former Marine and war veteran wounded in Iraq by a roadside bomb, in fact, never served in the military — but did spend time in a mental hospital.
It’s obvious why they let a crazy guy help with their campaigns…
And the left wonders why rush calls them fake soldiers.
Maybe the democrat controlled congress will write rush a letter of apology since rush has outed so many democrat operatives as fake soldiers. Rush, doing the job democrats don’t want to do.

President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending “unsustainable,” warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.
“We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.”
Holders of U.S. debt will eventually “get tired” of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. “It will have a dampening effect on our economy.”
So he threw himself and his spending addiction under the bus.
Strange that he finally realized the right-wing talking points that his spending is going to have “a dampening effect on our economy.”

I thought Maher gave a pretty funny graduation speech. Having sat through a number of these - it would be refreshing to hear one like this.
The impersonators are not funny. Marvin can make a fool of himself on his own. By using the term “fake soldiers” for one person and not taking into account the entire chickenhawk republican leadership team that cheerleaded our way into the unnecesssary Iraq war (Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Gingrich and others - who were all draft dodgers and avoiders), Marvin “forgets” the republican record of false jingoism. But that is typical for a person of limited intelligence like Marvin.
