Jihad on the American mind

Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, in a speech she gave at the conference on "The Middle East and Academic Integrity on the American Campus," held at Columbia University on March 6, 2005 and reprinted in FrontPage (thanks to EPG and RB), elucidates Saudi funding and indoctrination in American Universities:

The religious and philosophical justifications for promoting Jihad -which means holy war - around the world, is found in the Quran, says Dr. Hussein Shehata, a professor at al-Azhar University in Cairo. According to Dr. Shehata, the following terms in the Quran combine to justify the spreading of Jihad: in Arabic- Al-Jihad bi-al-Lisan - which means - Jihad of the Tongue, and al-Jihad bi-al-Qalam - Jihad of the Pen. Both combine for preaching and writing to promote Jihad.

This command is complemented by Al-Jihad bi-al-Mal - the Financial Jihad; namely, raising money for needy Muslims and supporting the Jihad warriors - known as the Mujahideen. These are the commands that form the justification to spread the Jihad.

On his website, on March 3, 2004, the same Dr. Shehata explained the uniqueness and the reason for the financial Jihad commandment as being, quote: "a trial of strength of Muslim faith" and "a means to purify the soul from stinginess". It is through the financial Jihad, he says, that Allah gives the wealthy Muslims the opportunity to allocate some of their money for the Da'awa (literally - the call for Islam), which is the Islamic effort to teach or convert people to Islam.

Funny. When I explain all that, I get called an "Islamophobe." I wonder if Ibrahim Hooper has contacted Dr. Shehata to call him an "Islamophobe."

In view of the fact that these commandments are interpreted as an integral part of Jihad, it is not surprising that Saudi Arabia, according to various Saudi official publications, have spent somewhere between $70-87 billion on the spread of Wahhabism around the world since the oil boom began in the mid- 1970's. This money was not only spent in Muslim/Arab countries. Large amounts were and are still being spent in the West, including in the US.

The Saudis have established endowments for American universities, have set up centers for Islamic and Arab studies, and have distributed generous scholarships, which often include visits to Saudi universities in programs similar to the one attended by Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who was indicted last week for joining Al-Qaeda and for plots to assassinate President Bush and King Abdullah of Jordan. Abu Ali, by the way, graduated from the Saudi Academy in Alexandria, Virginia, in the USA, which is sponsored by the Saudi embassy in Washington, and IN which many other young
Americans are being indoctrinated in Wahhabi Islam....

It is important to note that the many millions of dollars that the Saudis are spending here to establish Islamic centers to increase their influence are indeed subverting our academic institutions through indoctrination. Moreover, once established, these centers receive budgetary assistance from the US government under Title IV of the Education Act. In 2004, Congress allocated $86.2 million of our tax money to support these programs.

By giving our money to Islamic Centers and programs endowed by Islamist, we are helping the Saudis and their likes to acquire the foot soldiers to use the knives with which they intend to slit our throats.

Indeed. I trust that Dr. Ehrenfeld received warm and appreciative applause.

Muslims kill several thousand Americans, and the Americans must learn to understand Islam. Interesting concept. So, if somebody kills a member of my family, the dead relative and members of the family are the true cause of the crime. Fine, I can understand the nuts who are trying to kill us coming up with that logic, but when the local nuts go along with it, then, I have some serious worries.

One can argue that our dependency on Saudi oil, the $700 billion the sheiks are estimated to have invested in the US economy, and the implications of an Iranian-style theocracy in place of the current regime justify the reprieve handed to the House of Saud by the Bush Administration. But these arguments wear thin when weighed against the ongoing threat to our freedoms, our culture -- our very way of life at the hands of these Wahhabi dope-peddlers.

Dr. Ehrenfeld, Senator Jon Kyl, the fine people at Freedom House and others are working courageously and tirelessly to demonstrate that there will be no victory in the "War on Terror" -- and certainly no defeat of radical Islam -- until the primary benefactors, financiers and protagonists of the global Jihad are exposed and neutered.

There are many steps which could be taken to shut down the Saudi Jihad assembly line which would in no way jeopardise the flow of oil -- the Saudis after all, need to sell as much or more than we need to buy.

- End all taxpayer subsidies for Islamic centers;

- Dissuade alumni groups and corporate sponsors from donations to Universities with Saudi-funded ME studies departments;

- Require all Saudi-funded mosques and madrassas in the US to register as foreign agents;

- Prohibit the construction of new Saudi-funded mosques in the US until such time as the Saudi regime institutes laws respecting freedom of religion including permission to build churches in Saudi Arabia.

Yes, Sa'udi funding and the prominence of Sa'udi nationals in the jihad groups is an extremely disconcerting thing.

Actually, Dr Ehrenfeld was sued in British court for her exposure of Saudi funding schemes.

"In an attempt to prevent exposure of how they fund terrorism, the Saudis have been suing those who attempt focus light on their crime in British courts. And they have been successful.

Since this was written in October 2004, Khalid bin Mahfouz was handed a judgment by default against Dr. Ehrenfeld by the same British judge that awarded him many similar judgments. Advised by her lawyers, rather than litigate with KBM (who is a defendant in most of the 9/11 lawsuits) in an unfavorable forum with libel laws antithetical to the First Amendment, Dr. Ehrenfeld has counter-sued KBM in New York’s Federal Court, in what is an important legal precedent. She seeks, through innovative and novel legal procedure, to establish a precedent for all journalists and writers against libel forum shopping in British courts. The Saudi’s actions deprive us of our First Amendment right to publicize their activities in support of terrorism and, in fact, constitute a new form of terrorism in itself.

In addition to winning the freedom of the American press to investigate and report fairly and responsibly on one of the most important public issues of our time–the funding of international terrorism—Dr. Ehrenfeld’s lawsuit will make KBM’s support of Al-Qaeda and HAMAS a matter of public record and will help all the 9/11 victims’ families who are suing him".

This is detailed in an article The Saudi Buck Stops Here.

Although I was not surprised about the big money given to USA universities to see things the Saudi way, I am still a bit shocked about the $8.1 million given to Catholic Georgetown University. I know of John Espasito's most favored position there. Still, there must be a very unpleasant name for a Catholic university who takes money from a government who has and continues to jail, torture and behead Christians in its midst for offenses such as posessing a Bible, holding a prayer service in a private home. Georgetown is now an institutional version of Saul...will the scales ever fall off? Will Georgetown ever be Paul again, proclaiming the Gospel rather than being paid to do the bidding of the persecutors...Shame on Georgetown and shame on the US Catholic bishops for letting the flow of blood money continue....

I've been trying desperately for ages to get sued. CAIR and that lot won't even look in my direction even though I've written that Allah is a pig, Mohammed is a child-molestor, Ali is a coward, and that I use the Koran as toilet paper. What do I have to do? Do I have to stop writing the truth and come out and lie?

Sonofwalker,where exactly did you write all those things??!!
Try to get such an article published in the NY Times,and then wait and see what happens.
On a second thought,even then they won`t sue you ,but they would probably have you murdered ,to discourage others like you to "offend" islam.
Keep on trying my friend and God bless you.

The freedomhouse.org paper on the Saudi Hate-Fest against America conducted in AMERICAN mosques and madrassas is a "MUST READ"

Thanks for the encouragement. I wrote a few things at our reader's site at http://wwww.co-jet.org. susan B and others are working around the clock to keep things up and moving toward our victory over the child-molestors and cut-throats of Islamic jihad. You can stop in all the time and leave messages at our blog, found on the left-hand side-bar. Click on "Blog," go to the next page and sign in with co-jeter and then jihadwatch.

I'll keep on trying to get arrested. Keep your fingers crossed.

Maryrose: Georgetown a Catholic university? Maybe it was in the dim and distant past, but right now, what with performances of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, PC teaching staff and students, homosexual influence, and so on, they are less Catholic than John Kerry. Speaking of which, it is a notorious fact that the leading so-called Catholic universities supported Kerry, but it is somewhat less well known that something between forty and fifty percent of all so-called Catholic universities' donations to the Kerry campaign came from Georgetown alone. Georgetown is as Catholic as the NEW YORK TIMES or the local Wiccan chapter.

Charles martel: I was going to run for the presidencey with your agenda, only thing is you wrote it before I did. You go ahead mate, you got my vote!
