Baseball player gets second chance
D’Anthony Ellis is a senior at Anacostia High School who is considered a baseball prospect. He played for his school's team for three years, but the team disbanded due to an insufficient number of eligible players this year. With the help of his coaches and some city administrators, including the mayor, D’Anthony was allowed to play for Cardozo and will finish his high school baseball career there.

05/18/11 - Briar Woods won the Dulles District Tournament beating Dominion. Final score was 10-8. Briar Woods finished the regular season undefeated in the district and were awarded the Dulles District Championship.
