Johanna Alumasi “Masi” Amianda

In conjunction with her team, Masi is responsible for strategic leadership and operational management of talent acquisition services, initiatives, projects and related staffing and internal placement. She is also responsible for leading key strategic staff development initiatives in collaboration with other teams within the Talent Management and Workforce Strategy organization. In this second capacity, Masi leads the tactical planning and execution of talent management solutions and systems that are integral to academic and administrative unit plans, people and culture including: work force planning, on-boarding, organizational development, change management and talent/leadership development.

Prior to joining Stanford University in 2010, Masi served in a variety of senior Human Resources roles, both inside and outside recruiting, for Bank of America in the San Francisco Bay Area and Charlotte, North Carolina. Masi has also been certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). A graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe University and Columbia University School of Law, Masi resides in Berkeley with her husband, three children and three pets. She is thrilled to be a part of our team and to be aligned (finally) with the right institution!

Rosemary Bracy

Talent Acquisition Manager

Rosemary began her Stanford career in the Office of Staff Employment in 2001, and has held many positions throughout the years. In 2009, Rosemary was promoted to a Recruitment Programs Manager due to her demonstrated success at managing a portfolio of services. In this role she managed staff recruitment service delivery and led the team that supported the School of Medicine and other units. In 2014, Rosemary was promoted into the position of Talent Acquisition Manager. In her new role, her responsibilities have been expanded to include primary oversight for temporary staffing services. Prior to joining Stanford, Rosemary held management positions with Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Federal Management Agency (FEMA).

Rosemary holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University, and is an AIRS-certified Diversity Recruiter.

As a former “Heart of HR” recipient, it comes as no surprise Rosemary’s passion for helping people extends into her personal life. Outside of work, she regularly volunteers, enjoys spending time with family and friends and completing home improvement projects.

Carmen Jacinto

Talent Acquisition Manager

Carmen Jacinto is the Talent Acquisition Manager for Business Areas and has been with Staffing Services since 2005. Carmen’s team is responsible for Stanford’s “end-to-end” recruitment practices for finance and executive hiring.

Carmen earned her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in Sociology and with an emphasis in Business Administration. Upon joining Stanford, Carmen shifted her career from building organizations in Silicon Valley to empowering teams in higher education. Identifying top leaders and individual contributors for administrative, finance, information technology, and executive roles, she has also trained others to strategically recruit and select candidates. She is also an AIRS-Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter (CSSR). Constantly looking for ways to learn and engage with people, Carmen is passionate about sharing the enriching Stanford opportunities with internal and external candidates. Outside of work, Carmen regularly exercises, volunteers and occasionally sings with her seventies’ band.

Nic has been with the Staffing Services team as a Staff Recruiter since December 2011. He is also the Recruiting Account Manager for Financial Management Services (FMS) and has led and coordinated internal and external resources on 38 hires. As the Recruiting Account Manager, Nic was instrumental in implementing a structured recruitment process for FMS hiring managers and recruitment teams.

Prior to working at Stanford, Nic spent most of his career working in the medical device industry with Siemens Medical Solutions and Intuitive Surgical. He earned a BA in History while competing in NCAA Division II Baseball at Sonoma State University. Nic likes to continue learning from others and completed certifications as an AIRS Professional Recruiter and in Performance Based Hiring through The Adler Group. In his free time, he can be found lacing up his running shoes for a run on nearby mountain trails or on local streets, riding his road bike, working out in the gym, gardening, listening to or watching a baseball game (preferably the Yankees) and spending time with his wife and kids.

Agnes Veith is beginning her tenth year at Stanford and has over fifteen years of experience in higher education. Prior to joining Stanford, Agnes held management positions in both higher education (private and public) and high technology companies throughout the Silicon Valley.

Agnes began her Stanford career in the Office of Staff Employment and from there was the HR Director for the Schools of Engineering and Earth Sciences and most recently, before returning to staffing, was a compensation analyst for the School of Medicine.Throughout her Stanford tenure, Agnes has developed and delivered training programs focusing on the recruitment and selection process as well as two different applicant tracking systems (ATS).These programs were designed to improve the hiring process from identification of the department needs through candidate selection and introduce the functionality of the University’s selected ATS. Currently Agnes is focusing on administrative roles within both temporary and regular staffing.

While Agnes has always enjoyed her roles at Stanford and can easily advocate for Stanford as an employer of choice, she is also a proud Berkeley graduate. When asked to pick a team for the big game Agnes will always choose Cal. When not working, she enjoys traveling, gardening, hiking and spending time with her husband and two grown daughters.
