This series of six-minute videos highlight the Stanford resources, policies and processes that are in place to help faculty and other Stanford staff successfully provide academic accommodations to students with disabilities, while upholding the university's rigorous academic standards.
Faculty and Teaching Staff
Ensuring access and providing reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities is a shared responsibility. Students, faculty, and the staff of the Office of Accessible Education work collaboratively to meet Stanford's obligations to provide equal access to educational opportunities.
Syllabus Statement
Faculty and teaching staff can assist the OAE by including a statement on the course syllabus regarding accommodations for students with disabilities.
Rights and Responsibilities
In connection with the process of providing students with the appropriate accommodations, there are various rights and responsibilities incumbent upon students, faculty, and the Office of Accessible Education.
