To transfer a call, listen for the prompts. If you're prompted for a password, press * * and the ten-digit mailbox number; if you're prompted for a mailbox number, press * and the ten-digit mailbox number.
- With the caller on the line, press Transfer and dial 5-0000.
- If you are prompted for a password, you are
calling from a line that has an associated mailbox (maybe your own).
You must first disassociate the call from this mailbox.
- Press *.
Ignore the prompt to enter your mailbox number. Instead: - Press * again (after a slight pause).
You will be prompted to enter the address for your message. - Enter the target 10-digit mailbox number (or press 3# to dial by name using the keypad).
- When you hear the target mailbox greeting, you can hang up or wait on the line until prompted to press #.
- Press *.
- If you are prompted for a mailbox number, you are
calling from a line that has no associated mailbox (for example, if a
call rolls to your phone on a number that you share with a group, and
there is no group mailbox, that number has no associated mailbox).
- Press *.
- Enter the target 10-digit mailbox number (or press 3# to dial by name using the keypad).
- When you hear the target mailbox greeting, you can hang up or wait on the line until prompted to press #.
