Mark Your Calendars – The Grateful Life Tour Is Back!
It’s summertime and that means it’s time for SBC’s annual Grateful Life Tour.
Each of our donor centers will host a week-long tour stop. At each tour stop, donors will be able to pick up our highly anticipated 2015 Grateful Life Tour T-shirt.
Donating is groovy all year long and this summer we’re highlighting that it’s also patriotic. Show that your heart beats true under tie-dye that’s red, white and blue!

You will now find Thinking of You cards in our canteens for your use. These are special note cards to send to a patient or someone else who would appreciate knowing you’ve done a good deed with them in mind.
Birthday Blood Drives»

If you’re looking for a unique and fun way to celebrate a birthday, SBC suggests having a Birthday Blood Drive!
By hosting a Birthday Blood Drive at one of our donor centers, you have the opportunity to celebrate your special day and have fun with friends and family while giving others the gift of life through blood donation.
To help everyone get in the celebrating mood, staff will take photos of the event and birthday cake will be available in the canteen for your party.
Your Birthday Blood Drive can take place on any day and time that our donor centers are open. All you have to do is contact Carolyn Tong by email or by calling 650-723-8015, and let her know you want to organize a birthday party at SBC.
Please contact Carolyn at least two weeks in advance to make a reservation for your Birthday Blood Drive. Once a date and time has been secured, she will work with the birthday donor to schedule party guests’ blood donation appointments.
Parties of 6 or fewer (including the birthday donor) can take place at any donor center. For parties of 7 or more (including the birthday donor), the Birthday Blood Drive must take place at our Palo Alto center to accommodate the group.
Please note: A minimum of four guests (including the birthday donor) are required to host a Birthday Blood Drive.
