Herstory

Herstory Month is an April program series to celebrate the stories and accomplishments of women and girls, and to raise awareness of the different needs, strengths and struggles of women in the Stanford community and in the world.

Each year the Herstory Month Coordinator, a WCC student staff member, develops a series of events in collaboration with campus partners and WVSOS to feature Stanford faculty and other world class speakers, documentaries, student panels and much more.

We can reflect on the past and look to the future to utilize the tools we gain in reflection to empower us to create the kind of future we want. By saying Herstory, we challenge the universal story of history to include the unheard voices of women. This is a celebration of women finding our voices.
