OIA provides coordination and communications services, administers a faculty seed-grant program for new global collaborations, and supports the development of new overseas programs and facilities. OIA works regularly with the deans, faculty, and research staff to address legal and regulatory requirements that may have an impact on international research. OIA also manages the University’s international visitor services, facilitating visits of foreign university staff and faculty, as well as government officials and foreign dignitaries who wish to collaborate with Stanford.
