Product Realization Lab

The Stanford Product Realization Lab is a multi-site teaching facility with roots in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and deep synergies with the Stanford Design Program and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school).

The Stanford Product Realization Lab is open to Stanford undergraduate, graduate and professional-school students who want to design and create objects of lasting value.

Stanford Shared FACS Facility

The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource provides cell analysis and cell sorting services for cancer research in the Stanford community.

The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource enhances the productivity and effectiveness of research by promoting high-content data acquisition, ensuring the highest data quality and consistency, carrying out efficient cell sorting, providing reliable data management, educating and training researchers and consulting in experiment design and evaluation.

Supercomputer

Thanks to the generous support of the Stanford Bio-X program, the Schools of Medicine and Engineering, the Dean of Research and SGI, Stanford has acquired a 128-processor SGI Origin 3800 shared memory supercomputer to support biocomputation research at Stanford.

Synchrotron Beamline

The Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL), a directorate of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC), is an Office of Science User Facility operated for the U.S. Department of Energy by Stanford University.

Located in Menlo Park, California, SLAC is a multiprogram national laboratory exploring frontier questions in photon science, astrophysics, biochemistry, material science, particle physics and accelerator research.

Transgenic Animal Facility

Partly supported by funds from Stanford Cancer Institute, the Stanford Transgenic Mouse Research Facility is set to produce your transgenic and knockout mouse models.

The facility provides low-cost DNA microinjection services, ES cell manipulation and microinjection services to all Stanford and external investigators. The facility also provides services on timed pregnant females, strain rederivation, embryo and sperm cryopreservation and IVF procedures for resurrecting frozen sperms.
