Undergraduate Advising

Students interested in declaring BioE as their major must have an advisor assigned to them. Students may choose their own advisor if they have already built a relationship with a BioE faculty member.

Prospective BioE majors may also consult with Teri Hankes (thankes@stanford.edu) or with a BioE peer advisor by e-mailing bioe_ug_coordinators@lists.stanford.edu. Simple questions may be answered via e-mail, or you can schedule an appointment for a meeting.

Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

Engaging in independent research under the direction of a faculty member can be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of your undergraduate career. Explore our research opportunities for undergraduates.

Any prospective student interested in meeting with the Student Services Office should email bioengineering@stanford.edu at least three business days in advance to make an appointment. The Student Services Office cannot guarantee availability for drop-in visitations.
