Patient Care

The Endocrinology division provides consultative, diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with complex endocrine diseases and diabetes. Consultations are provided for adrenal disorders, thyroid disorders, calcium and bone disorders, pituitary diseases, male and female reproductive disorders and metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus and lipid disorders.

Clinic information required for trainees is included under education and for prospective fellows under the education-fellowship program description.

Endocrinology Clinic

The Endocrinology Clinic diagnoses and treats patients with diseases and disorders of the endocrine system. Patients suffering from adrenal, thyroid, bone, pituitary, reproductive, and metabolic disorders are cared for at the Endocrinology Clinic located in Stanford Hospital.

Transplant Diabetes Program and Classes

Endocrinologists work in conjunction with transplant physicians, diabetes educators, registered dieticians and pharmacists work together at the Transplant Diabetes Program to take a multidisciplinary approach to treating diabetes. Free diabetes education services are available to all transplant candidates and recipients.

Neuroendocrine/Pituitary Disorders

The Pituitary Center and Neuroendocrine Clinical Program brings together extensive knowledge and expertise to the treatment of neuroendocrine and pituitary diseases. Endocrinologists are experienced in the chronic administration of replacement hormones and in the use of drugs to block hormone excess syndromes. Patient education about self-administration of drugs is offered.

Endocrine Cancer

Stanford’s team of oncologists, surgeons, endocrinologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and genetic counselors throughout the Endocrine Cancer Center work together to provide patients with endocrine cancer the best care possible care. Patients have access to clinical trials, and support groups.
