The Stanford University Fire Marshal’s Office (SUFMO) is your primary resource for all Fire Protection and Life Safety code compliance information. They have the technical expertise to ensure your project is in compliance with all applicable codes and can help you save time during the permit process. Services they provide include:

  • Code compliance consultation
  • Plans Review requirements and recommendations
  • Working as a liaison with the County fire inspector and fire marshal
  • Permits, including:
    • Expedited building permits through the Small Projects Program and Minor Systems Modification (MSM) Program
