In support of teaching and mentoring development and innovation throughout the School of Medicine, the Academy will make available teaching and mentoring opportunities, faculty development, and other resources for faculty related to teaching and mentoring. The Academy strives to build and maintain a community of educators and mentors with the commonality of purpose and passion for teaching and mentoring and strive to be of support with these resources.

The goal of the Center for Immersive and Simulation-based Learning (CISL) is to provide the coordination and integration of effort and link the activities of the diverse simulation facilities and experts within Stanford University Medical Center. CISL provides a single point of focus and expertise on the use of immersive and simulation-based techniques in health care.

 

Clayman Institute for Gender Research

The Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research creates knowledge and seeks to implement change that promotes gender equality at Stanford, nationally, and internationally. The Clayman Institute offers Stanford Faculty Research Fellowships to Members of the Academic Council and Members of the Medical Center Line in the Stanford faculty, who are also Faculty Affiliates of the Clayman Institute.
