Stephanie K. Eberle is the Director of the School of Medicine Career Center.  She began her tenure at the SoMCC in 2008 developing curriculum and resources for all biosciences trainees to explore and define a path toward their own careers of choice. Prior to joining the SoMCC, Stephanie was part of Stanford’s central campus Career Development Center, counseling and developing career development programs for graduate students and postdocs from various disciplines across campus. She has co-written a text book chapter, taught a “Career and Life Planning” course with John Krumboltz in the Stanford School of Education, consulted on diversity issues at companies and organizations throughout the country, and held numerous counseling and program development positions in her almost 20 years of professional experience. Stephanie holds both an M.Ed., and B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, from Ohio University.

 


Chris Pohalski , Associate Director of Curriculum Development

Chris Pohalski is the Associate Director of Curriculum Development and Client Services for the School of Medicine Career Center. Chris develops curricula focusing on professional skills/training and insights into roles for scientists and clinicians across diverse employment sectors. Prior to joining the SoMCC, he developed programs on career preparation, advised undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs as they pursued their careers of choice, and was liaison to the international community at Stanford's central Career Development Center. Chris has held research, engineering and managerial roles at tech companies ranging from nascent start-ups to large multinational corporations. He earned M.S. and Engineer degrees in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, completing his dissertation on nonlinear optics. He also has an M.A. in Career Development from John F. Kennedy University; anda B.S. in Applied Physics from Cornell University.
