Disbursement

Prior to each academic quarter, you will receive an electronic Student Account Statement (bill) from Stanford University's Office of Student Financial Services. This bill lists all term-based charges (ex: tuition, ASSU fees, health insurance, medical disability insurance and room and board, if applicable). Your financial aid package will appear on your bill as "anticipated aid.” When you have satisfied all requirements for the disbursement of financial aid, your "anticipated aid” will be applied to your account.

Direct Deposit

If funds from your financial aid exceed the total charges, Student Financial Services will mail or direct deposit your refund. Please check your Axess account to see if you can receive direct deposits. Students who opt for the Online Student Direct Deposit feature are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the routing and banking account number to avoid delays in receiving their funds. Tuition Payments

If your financial aid funds are less than the total charges, you are required to pay the remaining amount shown by the "due date" indicated on the upper right corner of the bill. Late fees will apply to all payments made after the due date. You may view your student account by logging on to Axess and then clicking the Stanford ePay link.

Online Billing and Payment Service

Stanford University uses an online billing and payment service called Stanford ePay. This service will provide a convenient way for you, your parents or other sponsors to view and make payments to your account 24 hours a day. With Stanford e-pay you will be able to view your billing history, schedule your payments, maintain your personal options, payment profiles and manage your authorized payers' access. Payments made by direct debit (e-check) from any U.S. checking and savings account will be free of service charge. Credit cards are no longer accepted. Please visit Stanford ePay for more information
