We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research: Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor (UTL)
The Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research (PCOR) and Center for Health Policy (CHP) at Stanford University (http://healthpolicy.fsi.stanford.edu), in conjunction with the Department of Medicine, seeks an assistant, associate, or full professor in the University Tenure Line with expertise in medical decision sciences and cost-effectiveness analysis, including modeling of disease.
Department of Medicine and Cardiovascular Institute (CVI): Assistant, Associate, or Professor (UTL or MCL)
The Department of Medicine and the Cardiovascular Institute at the Stanford University School of Medicine seek a clinical investigator to join the Department as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor in the University Tenure Line (UTL) or the Medical Center line (MCL). We are seeking dynamic individuals to bring intellectual leadership and rigorous scholarship to our exciting program. The successful candidate will have significant support for developing his or her independent research.
We expect the successful applicant to have a medical degree with board certification in internal medicine or a PhD with strong clinical research experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with a combination of training and experience in clinical or health services research related to cardiovascular disease and its risks, although cardiovascular clinical training not required. The successful candidate should have an established track record of scholarly achievement.
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care or programmatic development, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation: Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine
The Department of Medicine - Division of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT) at the Stanford University School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the University Tenure Line or Medical Center Line. We are seeking a candidate who combines an outstanding record of accomplishment in clinical care, teaching, and a focused area of research in allogeneic and autologous marrow and blood stem cell transplantation. Collaborations with colleagues in related disciplines including research activity, translational science and clinical trials, are important aspects of this position. The successful candidate will assume key leadership responsibilities within the Division.
Division of Cardiovascular Medicine: Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor of Medicine
The Stanford University School of Medicine is conducting an open rank search to recruit a faculty member with an interest in biobanking and the use of biobanked samples in population research primarily related to identification and characterization of genetic human traits and risk for human disease, in the University Tenure Line, Medical Center Line, or Non-Tenure Aline (Research).
Division of Cardiovascular Medicine: Clinical Full, Associate or Assistant Professor
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, at Stanford Medicine is seeking board certified general cardiologists in the Clinician Educator line. These physicians will be based at Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, as well as in its general cardiology outreach clinics in the greater Bay Area. Successful candidates will be expected to teach medical students, residents and fellows in the clinical setting. Candidates with experience and interest in outreach are preferred. The ranks of Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Assistant Professor, will be based on training and experience.
Division of Endocrinology, Gerontology and Metabolism: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor
The Division of Endocrinology, Gerontology, and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine invites applicants for two full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Professor in either the University Tenure Line or Medical Center Line. Applicants should be Physician-Scientists with interests in basic and/or translational/clinical research in any area of endocrinology, with interests in diabetes or obesity desirable. Applicants should have either an M.D. or M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degrees, be board-eligible or certified in endocrinology, and should have a strong record of accomplishments. Independent grant funding (or, for more junior candidates, the potential to obtain such funding), publication record, and programmatic synergy will be considered.
Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology: Advanced Endoscopy

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University seeks a board-certified gastroenterologist with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease to join the Division as a Professor in the University Tenure Line or Medical Center Line. The Department of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine is recruiting a Chief for the Division of Hematology to lead the research, clinical and educational activities of the Division. The faculty position is at the Associate or Professor level in the University Tenure Line or Medical Center Line. We are seeking a candidate who combines proven leadership skills with an outstanding record of academic accomplishment, a dedication to excellence in the clinical, research and educational missions, an understanding of the complexity of academic medicine, and the creative vision to develop a premier Division of Hematology. Candidates should be accomplished physician investigators with a national/ international reputation. Candidates should be Board Certified in Hematology. The Chief will be expected to recruit additional faculty to support both laboratory and clinical research and to expand the clinical enterprise. The Chief is also expected to strengthen the fellowship program and increase its focus on the research opportunities so prevalent at Stanford.
Division of Infectious Diseases: Full, Associate or Assistant Professor (MCL or UTL)
The Department of Medicine/Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at Stanford University is recruiting for two positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor levels to contribute to the research, clinical, and educational activities of the Division. Candidates with research programs in all areas of Infectious Diseases will be considered, including those with clinical and bench-based research programs. We are especially interested in applicants whose research programs focus on HIV, Global health, Population health/Big data, Infections in Immunocompromised hosts, Clinical trials, Antimicrobial resistance, and the interface between Biology and Chemistry as it relates to Infectious Diseases research. Division of Nephrology: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor
The Division of Nephrology and Department of Medicine at Stanford University are seeking up to three board certified nephrologists/clinical investigators at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor with clinical and research expertise and interest in one or more of the following areas: acute kidney injury, ICU nephrology, inflammatory kidney diseases, genetic kidney diseases (including, but not limited to polycystic kidney disease), metabolic kidney diseases (including, but not limited to diabetic kidney disease), global health, health disparities in kidney disease, social determinants of kidney disease and health economics of kidney disease. The position will be in the Medical Center Line, with the expectation that time will be split among clinical, research and teaching activities.

Quantitative Sciences Unit: Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine
The Quantitative Sciences Unit in the Department of Medicine’s Center for Biomedical Informatics Research at Stanford University seeks a Biostatistician to join the Department as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Non -Tenure Research Line. Applicants should have a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field, and an outstanding record doing collaborative biostatistics, with an emphasis in applications that may include oncology, cardiovascular medicine, neurosurgery, preventive medicine and public health, to name a few. Areas of methodological expertise may include statistical genetics, genomics, epidemiology, prediction modeling, survival analysis, trial design, causal inference, bioinformatics and clinical informatics.
Veteran's Administration Palo Alto Health Care System: Section Chief, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Associate Professor or Professor
