English Diabetes Research Instruments
These instruments were used for English-speaking participants in the Spanish Diabetes Self-Management studies and the Stanford/El Paso Border Diabetes Project, and will soon be used in the Online Diabetes Self-Management Study. These are the diabetes-specific scales that are used in addition to the scales found on the Chronic Disease Research Instruments page.
You may use any of these scales at no cost without permisson.
We give you the items, their properties (if available), and coding and scoring instructions. They area available both on web pages that you can print directly (using the "Printer-friendly" link at the extreme bottom of each page) and as downloadable PDF files. Each page has a download link at the bottom to save the PDF document to your hard drive. The Downloads web page includes links to each PDF scale, as well as to sample questionnnaires. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the PDF files. Information about how to get it is also on the Downloads web page.
