Our clinical divisions are:
General Surgery
General surgery includes gastrointestinal surgery, surgical oncology (covering breast, liver, pancreas, colon and rectal, and other cancers), bariatric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, trauma and surgical critical care, and colon and rectal surgery.
Pediatric Surgery
Pediatric Surgery serves a broad spectrum of children's surgical needs, including minimal access surgery that reduces hospital stays and speeds recovery; pioneering procedures in bariatric surgery for young adults; fetal surgery for the most urgent cases; and other needs of our youngest patients.
Plastic Surgery
We provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery including: craniofacial surgery (cleft palates and cleft lips), cosmetic surgery, hand surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, implantology in children and adults, and microvascular reconstruction.
Transplantation
This division performs transplants of the liver, kidney, and pancreas in adults and children, and intestinal transplants in children.
Vascular Surgery
Providing expert diagnostic evaluation of arterial and venous blood flow problems in the lower extremities, diagnosis and management of aneurysmal or occlusive disease of the thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, peripheral aneurysms and aortic dissections, solutions for failed prior attempts at endovascular aneurysm exclusion or revisions of previously placed endografts, management of cerebrovascular disease, open and catheter-based (angioplasty and stenting) treatment for carotid disease, and special expertise in the multi-modality management of venous insufficiency and thoracic outlet syndromes.
More than 100 health care professionals in these specialties see 20,000 patients a year in outpatient offices; perform more than 6,000 procedures in the operating rooms; and emergency medicine specialists work with nearly 40,000 emergency room visits each year.
