ON-CAMPUS FELLOWSHIPS

Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI)
FSI provides support to Stanford faculty, students, and researchers for activities aimed at building student and instructor skills and capacity in the field of international studies. The various funding programs each have their own funding parameters, eligibility criteria, and proposal guidelines. Fellowships are categorized under:

The Overseas Resource Center at Bechtel International Center
The Overseas Resource Center provides advising for undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs and recent alums pursuing scholarships for study and research abroad. Over 30 scholarships are administered through this office and include such awards as the Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, and Churchill. The Center offers one-on-one and group advising sessions and provides support in all aspects of the application process, including interview preparation. In addition to their advising services, the ORC maintains a library of scholarship literature, binders of successful application essays, and for some of our awards, a mentor database of previous Stanford scholars. There are also regular information sessions and application workshops.

Stanford Humanities Center Fellowships
Each year the Stanford Humanities Center offers residential fellowships to as many as thirty fellows, who meet regularly in formal and informal sessions while pursuing their individual study, research, and writing. The Center constitutes an intellectual and social community in which historians, philosophers, scholars of literature and the arts, anthropologists, and other humanists of diverse ages, academic ranks, and departmental and institutional affiliations contribute to and learn from one another's work.
