P&TS will be closed during the winter closure

Parking & Transportation Services will be closed on Dec. 21 through Jan. 1 for the university's winter closure.

Did you know that some of the longest lines at the P&TS office occur during the first weeks in January? If you will need a parking permit in January, we recommend that you avoid long lines by ordering your permit online by Tuesday, Dec. 15, or in early January.

Order online by Dec. 15.  Online ordering will not be available between Dec. 16 and Jan. 1. To avoid the early January rush, place your online order for January parking permits prior to Tuesday, Dec. 16, so we can process your order before winter closure.

Order extra daily parking “scratchers” in December

If you need daily parking “scratchers” in early January, you may purchase up to three additional daily scratchers online in December. This means that Commute Club members can order up to 11 daily parking scratchers in the month of December.

Temporary parking permits available for online orders between Jan. 2 and Jan. 12. The temporary permit option is available for monthly and long-term parking permit orders that are placed online between Saturday, Jan. 2, and Tuesday, Jan. 12. The temporary permit will be valid through Jan. 12, 2016.

  • Print a temporary permit for January. If you place an order online for a monthly or long-term parking permit between Jan. 2 and Jan. 12, you will have the option to print and display the “Thank You For Your Order” confirmation web page as a temporary parking permit, valid through Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016. Be sure to order from a computer or device that will allow you to print, since the confirmation page cannot be retrieved (or refer to screenshot options for mobile devices).
  • “Mail” delivery or “will call/pick up.” Ordering online and selecting “mail” or “will call/pick up” saves you a trip to our office or saves time with express line access at “will call.” You will be notified within three to five business days when your permit is available for pick up. Whether requesting “mail” or “will call” during the first weeks in January, print and use your online order confirmation page as a temporary permit until you receive the permit you purchased or to avoid long lines in early January.

Online ordering is recommended, but here are your options to apply:

  1. Order online (recommended and available until Dec. 16 or after Jan. 1)
  2. Apply in person: 340 Bonair Siding, Stanford, CA 94305-7255

Our office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We will have limited hours on Wednesday, December 9th (open from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.), and we will be closed for winter closure (Dec. 21 through Jan. 1).
